Treasure Island (15 mins)
Organization:
-20x20 grid
-Each player has their own ball.
Instructions:
-Players are sailing(dribbling with their soccer balls) all over the ocean trying to sail around as many islands as they can.
-Players get points for each island they sail around, players sail around islands by turning with the ball around the entire cone
-Eventually progress into placing a small prize(the treasure) under one or two cones (islands) for players to try and find
Coaching Points:
-Keep your ball(ship) close to you.
-Head up to see other ships and islands.
-Sail as fast as you can.
Progressions:
-Add in other touches, such as toe taps, stationary scissors and other statis ball movements for different ship actions
-Add pieces of treasure under certain cones for players to try and find

Treasure Trove (15 mins)
Organization:
-Players divided up in each corner. Additional groups can stand on one of the large cones
-Pirates, after traveling all over the islands, have collected their treasure and put it all in the middle. Now, the pirates have to try and take as much treasure as they can and bring it back to their homes.
-All soccer balls in the middle - odd number of balls ideal
Instructions:
-Goal is to retrieve a certain number of soccer balls, determined before the game
-If all the balls from the middle have been retrieved with no winner, players may go to opponent's nest and steal their soccer balls to win.
-Players alternate after retrieving one soccer ball
Coaching Points:
Understand when close control is beneficial vs penetrating open space
Pinky toe (Messi) and Laces (Ronaldo) dribbling
Head and eyes up
Awareness of opponents - where should you steal soccer balls from?
Communication
Progressions:
Fewer soccer balls - encourages robbing other nests
Make space bigger - emphasize big touches
Make space smaller - emphasize close control

Instructions:
Shower Tag
-Coach starts out as the "Plumber" who is chasing the kids and trying to tag them
-If tagged by the "Plumber" the player is frozen and must raise one arm to form a Shower Head
-Players can only be un-frozen if another player stands under their Shower Head
-Ask for Players/Parents to be "Plumbers"
Coaching Points:
-Look up to see where the "Plumber" is
-Change of direction to avoid being tagged
-Ask for help when frozen, communicate
