Small sided game
3 v 3 + 3 (if you don't have 18 players for 2 grids, make neutrals on outside for 1-touch combinations)
In a square 20 x 20 (adjust with skill level) divided into 4 quadrants.
3 v 1 in square with 3 other players waiting in each square. Team in possession trying to make 4 passes and play the ball to any player waiting in another square. Two other defenders are waiting in the small square in the center.
After 4 passes, team in possession plays to outside neutral player and spread out into 3 different squares. After the team in possession play the ball to the neutral, Black team goes to the center and 1 defends. Blue team spreads out to the open grids and now WHITE is the team in possession.
Two other players from WHITE run into the square to support their teammate and also trying to make 4 pass and new defenders comes in.
If the defender wins the ball, he/she plays the ball to the waiting player in the other square and spread out into 3 different square and the team that lost the ball, one defenders goes to defend and other 2 go into center square.

Exp. Small Sided.
In an area 40 x 40 (adjust with skill level). 3 teams, 2 teams playing possession with the aim to pass the ball through the gates to their teammates other team waiting outside and acting as bumpers. After you score through the gate, you have to find another gate. Play for 3 minutes, winning team stays and losing team switches with bumpers. Progression, after every 2 goals teams switch, winning team stays and keeps possession whilst looking to score quickly.
Variation: After you play a pass through a gate to your team mate, you have to find a neutral player to complete a triangle passing sequence. Player 1 passes to team mate Player 2. Player 2 passes to neutral on outside who must play to Player 1. Complexity: Add more balls.
