Station 1 Ball Mastery (10 mins)

Each Player with a ball  15min 

1) dribble to find space then run with the ball.

2)Left foot only (inside and outside)

3)Right foot only (inside and Outside) 

4) Outside only ( Left/Right)

5) Sole Role 

6)  dribble and Cruyff turn 

7) step over move of the week!

Station 2 unopposed Striking warm up (10 mins)

 Organization: 10- 12 players mirrored Activities  balls, pug nets, cones, 

Area Size: Half field,  Different geometric shapes depending on the focus. Vary the width or lengthdepending on the age and technical quality of the players. 

Time: 5-10 minutes 

Objectives:•  Attack the space quickly  look to turn • To turn quickly with the ball around the cone;• 

Attack the space To shoot in the little goal as quick as you can  

Execution:This exercise is about the ability to dribble, turn and shoot.  (10 minute max, related to age of theplayers and area size).

Player Skill Set:  Striking/Finishing - Angle of Approach, head down eyes on the ball, Part of foot/Ball, Follow through

Station 3 Rondo (10 mins)

Organization: Multiple 12m x 12m (Adjust to Players needs) Balls, Cones, Bibs, 

Activity: Rondo 4 v 1  8/10 min 

Looking to create a diamond shape and keep possession. The Player in the middle holds a pinnie. Their job is to win the  ball, if they do They give the pinnie to the player that lost the ball and now they become the defender. If a pass is made or loss of control, that player must go into the middle.

Players make 5 passes equals a goal. Players intercept the ball that's a goal/point

Station 4 2v1 (10 mins)

Organization: 10 players- 15m x 15m  cones, bibs, balls, goals , pug net.

Activity: 2 v 1 12min

Procedure: Start with one attacker and one defender. The player with the ball plays into his team mate. The attacking player needs to shield it and receive it.

The player that receives the ball must decide weather to try and turn  go by themselves or play the ball back to their team mate who is supporting the player and creating a 2 v 1.

The attacking player looks to score in the pug net.

The Defender can only try to steal the ball once the shielding player has control of it.

If the Defender wins the ball, they can look to score in the big goal or play the coach for a point.

* Each team rotates and has a turn as an attacker and defender. Adjust teams and pair players against a similar level of their development.

Coaching points: Shielding :

Bend your knees, low center of gravity , and put your arm up to keep some distance between the opposite player

Turning: Look to turn away from the defender. What shoulder are they on, go the opposite way. Use the outside of the foot (drawing a semi circle)Taking your touch away from the defender.
