Mini's Skill - Welsh way moves
x3 of the Welsh way skills 1 - L move 2 - V move 3 - Step over
Players to practice the 3 above moves as in previous weeks to be confident during game situations to get out of a tight area.
Close control of the ball and skill will help the player minipulate the ball in tight areas and change direction into space
x3 groups of 5 as set in the warm up,5 in yellow, 5 blue bibs with 5 red training tops
x3 areas of above for each group
Repition on the 3 moves as previous weeks to progressivly become more confident in performing them
Organisation
Conditions
Players A and B will both start at the same time
Player A will dribble the ball on the approach to cone D, just after the cone the player using his right foot will perform the L move and change direction heading towards cone C
At the same time as Player A starting Player B will dribble towards cone C, afrer they pass cone C the player will perform the V move with their right foot and change direction towards cone D.
The players shall meet at E where they will perform the stop over and head towards thier next cone, player B will approach cone D where they will perform the V move and player A will approach cone C and perform the L move before passing it in for the next player to go.
Players will work in 4min blocks with 1min rest
Repeat the above x 2 times
Players will then switch to perform the moves with their left foots
Players will work in 4 min blocks with 1 min rest
Repeat the above x2 times
Challenge players to perform them in the order above with both feet

Passing
Using both feet to control and pass the ball
short passing and longer passes
Players get to recieve the ball and open their body up to play the next pass
Players will get to use both feet in controlling the ball and passing the ball
Players will get the practice in short and longer passes giving them a different range relevent during a game situation
Getting the players to communicate asking for a pass and calling the players name before passing
Players must get thier heads up before playing the ball
Organisation
Player A in the outer square and the inner square will play the pass to player B, player B will open thier body up and control with their right foot and play it with their left if theu can, if not thier first touch can take them onto thier right foot and use that to play the ball
Once the pass is played the player will run and follow the ball
Challenge the more advanced to use thier left foot to pass the ball
Challenge the outer group to play knee high passes to thier partner
Anti clockwise
Players will work for 4mins and 1min rest
Players will then swap out to in and in to out and repeat 4mins work, 1min rest
Clockwise
Players to swap in to out and out to in and now go clockwise for 4mins and 1min rest
Players to swap out to in and in to out and repeat for 4mins and 1min rest
For the last 5mins the groups will work for 2mins on the out then the inner square but this time add a one two before passing the ball
For example
Player A will play player B the ball and ask for it back before switching it to player C, player A will run to players B position, player B will move towards play C and recieve the ball then switch to player D and so on

Area 25 x 30
Aim is to get the ball from A to B utilising the outer players making it 8v5.
Playing short and longer passes to achieve the goal / target
Coach in the team in posession
Encourage to get the ball wide and players to move to make space. Gert players to pass the ball quickly short and long
Organisation
The blue team will start with the ball and try to get the ball to either A end or B end utilising the outer players making it 8 v 5. If successful and they get the ball to B then thats one point, the team will then get the ball back from either A or B and work there way to the other end to try and score again.
If the defending team wins the ball they can score a goal by passing the ball into the two mini goals set up in the opposite corners of the pitch.
The first attcking team will then become the defending team with the defending team going on the outside and the oustside team will be the attacking team,
It will be done in block training so 4mins work with 1min rest x 6 times. This will give each team x2 attacks, x2 defending and x2 outer postions.

2mins - Players to dribble around the area using both feet to get the heart rate pulsing
On the whistle the players will leave the ball and run around a cone within there 10x15 area then back to the ball.
1min - Dynamic stetches without the ball
Repeat the above 3 times (9mins)
