In two 20yd x 15yd areas, using 16-players, play 3 v 3 to Targets (T). Rotate targets every 3-minutes

i) Score by passing to target (T) who controls the pass = 1pt

ii) Additionally, score by passing to target (T) from defensive half who controls the ball = 2-pts

iii) Additionally, score by either above, but internal player supports the ball & playing a Give & Go combo with (T) = 3-pts.

Coaching Points

Analyze how players see the field, receive the ball, play forward and how can they improve their decision making speed.

Do they adjust their body to face forward?

Does their 1st touch allow them to play forward?

Do they look for the furthest pass first?

Do they constantly move to support the ball?

PLAY: Part 3 (15 mins)

In a 30yd x 30yd area, play a 10v6.

For the attacking team (10-players), they must remain on the line/axis they are placed, which is in relation to their position on the field. Only the #6 & #9 have a double axis they can move along.

For the defending team, three players must stay in the lower two boxes, while the other three must stay in the upper two boxes. Inside their zone, the defenders can move anywhere. Rotate the 6-defenders every 5-min

i) Play keep-away 10v6.

ii) Adv, if the defenders win the ball, the #6, #8 & #10 come off their axis and try to win the ball back. IE, 6v3. If successful, they must go back to their original positions.

Coaching Points:

1) Movement: Are the players moving along their axis to create passing lanes/angles to receive the ball?

2) Speed of Play: Do the players use the correct number of touches in relation to the pressure they are under?

3) Ball Migration: Can the players move the ball around the area, using all positions to retain possession?
