Football/Soccer Session (Difficult): Phase of Play of Build Up from the Back

10v9 on modified playing area; Narrow, elongated pitch 96ydsL x 44ydsW field. Goal on either penalty spot. BUP team is GK, 3CBs a #6 in Zone 1. Zone 2 winger either side & two #10s. Zone 3 A #9. Playing against a High Pressing opposition 2 strikers & #10 Zone 1. Zone 2 is 3 midfielders and Zone 3 will be 2 CBs.

Initial zone/phase BUP team has to connect 3 passes before they can play into central zone (Zone 2), to promote the provocation of a high press! Middle zone 20yds in length. Original BUP #6 can enter into the middle zone to make a 5v3 numbers up for possession team. Play-out of middle zone into Zone 3 (final third) either on the dribble or a pass playing into target #9 or advancing runner from the central zone and breakout to play against 2 CBs, with 1 defender from the middle zone allow to defend. Scenario to goal is a 5 Attackers vs. 3 defenders.

Rd1 - 3 reps for the BUP team & Defending team can only intercept, NO tackling. Upon Goal scored or defending interception, Play re-starts from Possession team GK.

Rd3 - Rd#2 but if the defending team wins possession they can counter but have only 6 seconds to get their shot-off. Action always re-starts with the Possession BUP team.
