Phase:
Back third possession, releasing FB's and entry into the DCM.
The area provides the DCM (red 6) and CM's (red 8 and 10) with reference points for when, where and how they can take up positions to support the back 4, provide balance and release or combine with the FB's (red 2 and 3).
Organizations:
Timing of the pass and limited touches on the ball release the FB's to advance.Positioned along the lines or inside the area against 3 x Defenders (blue) inside the area, with only 2 of the 3 Defenders allowed in a half (16x12) at any one time to defend.Red CM's (8 & 9), CB's (4 & 5) can only operate on their designated 12-yard line. Red DCM (6) can go anywhere in the grid. If the blue team wins the ball, they play 3v1 and/or find the coach with the pass.Focus areas:
Passing Lines & Movement to open angles of entry from the back four to gain entry into advanced FB's, into the DCM and/ or into the advanced CM's.Key factors:
Timing of passes.Sliding movement of angles of support.Ability to limit touches to catch opponents out of balance.Preparation to receive the ball.

Phase:
Playing out of defense with additional players to create the switch for advancing FB's (red #2). The need to simulate the movement of all red players along their grid lines. Accentuate the FB's. CB's & ACM's movement to receive the ball on the foot to open the field and therefore limit touches.

Organizations:
Red CM's (8 & 10), can only operate on their designated segments. Red DCM (6) can go anywhere in the grid. The additional piece allows for the red CM #8 & #10 to check into spaces behind the blue midfield to connect with the play. This takes the obvious pass of #6 away from the blue team defense. If the blue team wins the ball, they play 3v1 and/or find the coach with the pass.#8 are not allowed to occupy the same grid.
If the blue team wins the ball, they can tey maintain ball possession and find a pass to the C or back to the halfway line.

Can he red defenders have to courage to pick a pass into #8 & #10 to bypass the initial pressure?Learning Outcomes: eg. (Post practice review, comments, thoughts)

4v1 Rondo
Phase:
Rondo ball work to get players comfortable with many touches in a short area and/or time-wise.Organizations:
Set up 10 x 10 grid with markers in the corners, giving the attackers an 8-yard line to move along (in consideration of social distance requirements). Attacking players attempt to maintain possession of the ball through moving along their designated line and passing to other attackers (blues), while the red defender attempts to intercept the ball or force a pass outside of the area.If the defender regains the ball by intercepting, or the ball leaves the grid, the last attacker to touch the ball becomes the defender. 10 passes = 1 goal. If team gets to 20 passes then switch the defender.Focus areas:
Players should demonstrate an open body shape in order to visually see as much of the field as possible and be able to pass in multiple directionsKey factors:
Weight, timing, and accuracy of the pass is important so that it reaches your teammate and cannot be intercepted by the defenderMovement along your designated line to create a passing angle to receive the next pass or even the 3rd pass
