'Arrows'
Straight forward sprinting session in the shape of an arrow with two players sprinting against eachother with the winner first one back over the finish line.
Encoraging tight turns around cones, never giving up if opposing team player is in front and that flat out sprint through the finish line (not finishing before it).
Progressions

SAQ 10
'Ladder Ball'
Team exercise of passing the ball through the gap whilst players then travel through the ladder doing a fast feet exercise. Focus here is on the quality of the pass and also the exercise of the activity with players focussed and ready so that the activity flows.
Progressions.
Can the players achieve one touch so that the activity flows, working for eachother and the ball doesnt stop.
Longer distance between red cones for a longer pass and a sprint up to the ladders.
Ladders closer together so that pass is even more focussed in between and not to stray onto the ladders.
Sequence of exercises through the ladders - see exercise SAQ 12

SAQ 11
'8's'
Aim of the exercise is for Player 1 to make the right decision of when to leave and sprint forwards to get through the small red coned gate without being tagged.
Player 1 is the leader and starts the session off and is required to do at least 3 figure of 8's by side stepping around the tall cones before they make their decision of when to go. Player 2 needs to be on their guard for when player 1 makes the call of sprinting for the gate. If player one can get ahead with pace, they will have the advantage of a shorter distance as per the diagram. Player 2 needs to be sharp so as to have a chance of tagging player 1.
Progressions
Do with ball
Alternate player to call
Both players in exercise before coach shouts 'go' for both players to then race through the cones

SAQ 8 (5 mins)
SAQ 8
'Colour Sprint'
Players enter the centre of the box and wait for the coach to shout out a colour.
Players use their sharpness with quick feet and agility to get to that cone and touch it befor returning to the centre waiting on their feet for the next colour.
When the coach shouts 'Finish' the player sprints toand through the tall cones with player first through the cones picking up points for their team.
Players waiting for their turn shoud encorage the player engaged in the session.
Progressions
Player doesnt touch the cone but runs around them.
Player always faces the same way and back tracks (runs backwards) for the red and green cones.
Use a ball and dribble round the colour which the coach shouts and does toe taps in the middle whilst waiting for the colour shout.
Player can also decide whether to pass the ball or dribble it through the 'finish' cones as the winner will be the first player to get the ball through the cone. This is a gamble for the player if they are slightly behind but an inch perfect pass will win them the game!
