- Speed
- Agility/Change of direction
Structure of the Practice
1. Player start with ball opposite their goal
2. Dribbles to score, has to score pas the dotted line
3. Once they score the opposite team does the same thing
4. Player that just attacked has to transition to the other side to defend
5. Repeat for either side, make sure whoever is attacking next has a ball and is ready to go to keep players running at speed
How this helps aerobic fitness
- Players must attack the goal with speed to score before the opposition has fully transitioned from their goal
- When transitioning you must change direction really sharp to turn and defend the next player from in front their dotted line, players must also be fast to catch up with player on ball who has a head start due to their position
- Rehearses both speed on and off the ball
