7v7 - creating an overload in the box - playing out from back quickly, to get the ball out wide, attacking the front and back post, transition to defending

Building Up Play
CBs look to play quickly to wide midfield players
Midfielders create space in front of the ball with opposite movements away from the ball
Trigger - play moves into opposition half, wide midfielders in opposition half and looking exploit space behind the defender,
Penetrating runs
create the 3v2 in the box
-CF , opposite wide midfielder and CDM move quickly to opposition box , staying in line with the ball
-CF attacks the front post, hold the run
-Winger in the box attacks the far post, hold the run
-CDM move to edge of the box to exploit space in front of defenders

Finishing
Winger looks up, aware, communicates to attacking player
Winger crosses to 1 of the 3 options - low and hard Or longer with height, timing ,pace and accuracy
Angle of cross, angle of run from players in the box
Attackers hang off shoulder of defenders, out of sight, time the run to attack the space
Finishing - 1st touch shot when possible or decoy fake with first touch to create individual space, ball on the ground or volley or on the head.
Finishing technique - standing foot in line with ball, shoulders and knee over the ball, knee extended, ankle locked, kick through centre of the ball with laces, look to shoot and low to corner of the goal, react and follow up rebounds quickly
Transition - if loose possession
CF bends run to close down GK and force pass to weaker side
Wide Attacking Midfielders WAM cover and block pass out and switch of play
CDM drops off moving backwards, aware and cover behind opposition midfield player
CBs tuck in, drop off, look to work as a unit - press and cover
