Objective: Work on various techniques of passing and receiving the ball.
Set up: Set up as many stations as needed, as shown. Progress from exercise 1 to exercise 2.
Instructions: Exercise 1, play a pass into your teammate, who must receive with sole, roll out and pass it back. After you complete your pass you make a run to the center and return back to your original line.
Exercise 2, player in line D runs into the middle to receive a pass from A, on first touch plays pass into player B. Use Variation of pass, sole roll, instep, disguised pass. Once the pass has gone into player B you run to Line C. Player in line C repeats the sequence by getting a pass from B and playing into A. In exercise 2 make sure you rotate the stationary players from A & B.

Guided Questions: 1. How can we set ourselves up to receive the ball? 2. Why do we call for the ball? 3. How can a good pass help our teammate?
Answers: 1.By staying relaxed, engaged and ready to receive the ball. 2. In order for our teammates to know we're open or in a good position to receive the ball. 3. It sets them up for a good touch, and can set them up for a good move or play.

Objective: Work on various techniques of passing and receiving the ball. Make sure you work on pace and precision with each pass.
Set up: Set up as shown, one exercise at a time and follow your pass for both. Exercise 1, A to B, B to C and C to goal. Work both sides and discuss, various touches that lead to a clean shot. Exercise 2, A to B. B to C and C to Goal. This time, work on overlaps, take-overs and dropouts between B and C.

Guided Questions: 1. What's a good touch. 2. Where do I take my touch? 3. What's a good way to receive a pass?
Answers: 1. Move to open space. Communicate with your teammates in order to not be in each others way. 2. When in possession of the ball, hold the ball until the last second, and make a pass to a teammate or change your speed and make a move into space. 3. To receive a pass use the inside of the foot, toe pointing up, and softly cradle the ball with your foot. You can also try the bottom of your sole, in order to best use the limited space.
