Skill (15 mins)
Adaptations
Remove the red flats that formed the circles in the technical.
divide the players to form teams of the same colour bibs.
The drill will consist of 1 defender and 2 attackers, the defender is to pass the ball out from the one blue end zone into the opposite blue zone with the will be 2 attackers wait to receive the ball.
The defender is then to follow the pass to put pressure on the 2 attackers and try to win the ball back of them before they score.
Players will rotate between them selves after there either a goal or ball won by a defender.
1. Goal by attackers 1 point
2. Defender to win the ball and pass back into his own goal 1 point
3. Defender to win the ball back and score in attackers goal 2 points.

Add another defender.
Move the start point of the defender closer to the attackers allowing them to close down faster.

Small sided tournament (30 mins) 3 x 10min games.
Games to consist of 3v2
1 point for defender to win ball and make a successful pass to team mate.
2 points for a red team goal
1 point for a blue goal.

Defending
Practice layout - The practice will require 15 players.
Mechanics - Defending (10 Mins)
1. Get in line with the ball.
2.Pressure on the ball
3.Deceleration
4.Stay on toes
5.Be patient
6.Decision to win the ball.
The session will begin with the player splitting between the two circles marked with red flats. They will spit into 8 players on the large circle 7 players on the smaller circle.
On the large circle there will be two players inside the circle (DEFENDING) with the remaining 6 players dotted around the outside of the circle.
This will then be repeated on the smaller circle only change is that one player on the inside (DEFENDING) with the remaining 6 on the outside.
The ball is to be passed around and through the circle without the defenders winning the ball.
Each session for defenders will last approximately 1 minute each. The will then swap with a player from the outside of the circle.
Adaptations
Circles can be made bigger or smaller depending on how successful the defending players are.
