Activity 1- Individual Possesion
Activity 1 - Individual Possesion
Introduce a ball to each player. The players dribble around the square trying to stay away from the defender. The defender has to kick the players balls out of the square and the game is over when all balls out not in the square. If a player has there ball stolen then they are out. Change defender every round.
Coaching points:
- Head up to see the surroundings and looking for space
- Change of direction to get away from defender
- Change of speed to get away from the defender
- Add various turns for extra lives
- Progress to 2 defenders

Activity 2 - Dribbling and Turns
Place 3 cones approximately 5 yards apart. The players each have a ball and in teams they take it in turn to dribble to each of the two cones in front of them. At the cone the players are asked to do a specific turn. Once they are comfortable with the activity add competition and make it a race.
Coaching Points:
- Head Up
- Change of Speed
- Use both Inside and Outside of both feet
- Turns (inside cut, outside cut, pull back, Cruyff etc..)

Play 3 v 3, 4 v 4, 5v5 depending on the amount of players you have at the sessions. Play 2 fields if possible.
Give the players extra points for dribbling with the ball of turning into space, not into traffic.
