Technical Warm-up:
King or Queen of the ring, players try and knock out all other balls while keeping their own. Once your ball is out you are done. Last player with a ball is the winner.
Coaching Points:
- Technical skills and turns
- Close touches
- Head up to and avoid traffic
- Use protective skillsand be brave!

Organization:
-create a grid 30x20 yards
-20 cones
-plenty of soccer balls (10-20)
-4 teams of 3 players or 2 teams of 4 players
Procedure:
A pile of soccer balls in the middle, race between teams to get the balls back one by one as fast as possible. (Running with the ball). May also add prescribed ball manipulations.
Once all the balls are back get them to tally it up and then let them rob each others nests.
Progression:
Can be changed to add passing (could add a pass from the box you got the ball from and your team-mate must controlthe ball in your box for you to keep it). Shown with Yellow Players.
May steal from other teams after middle is emptied.
Coaching Points:
-keep head up
-using laces to push the ball forward
-keep strides long

Set up:
- As shown
- Player 1 dribbles and lays off ball at A, then runs around pole/cone. Player 2 runs onto ball and takes a touch and shoots.
- Reds and blues return to their own line
- If blue wins the ball back, they can also score (in any goal)
- Keep count of goals

SET UP
As shown
THE SESSION:
A passes to B, B sets the ball for C to shoot at goal. A goes to B, B goes to C and C goes to A.
The team behind the goal try to catch the inaccurate shots, if they catch the ball they knock one goal off the shooting team!
KEY POINTS:
Hit the target! Pass and move quickly but dont lose the quality. Communication, Set to the strikers prefared foot. Timing of runs. Competitive between teams FUN!
PROGRESSION:
Vollies, player A throws to B to set C for a volley

THE SESSION:
- Two teams
- 3v3 to 5v5 with GKs
- Three games within one pitch
- Game 1 - End Zone game
- Game 2 - 4 Goal game
- Game 3 - Normal game
- Coach to rotate games as they see fit
- For example 4min end zone game, 1min rest then Normal game and so on
KEY POINTS:
- Coaches can give individual challenges or team challenge and rules for the games as they see fit
Examples:
- See both goals
- Can you outplay your opponent
- Can you dominate 1v1
- Control the game in possession (Height, Width, Depth)
- Reactions when losing the ball (3 seconds to win back)

THE SESSION: 3v2 + neutrals
Set Up
- Reds and blues face eachother and start behind goal
- Blacks as neutral positioned on half way line
- Coach passes to neutral who then chooses a team to pass to, for example;
- A passes to B, B plays into C
- B joins with C to attack D
- D send out two players once C enters the field
- Both teams have a player stationed in the opposite half (use a striker for this and rotate every three minutes)
- These players must stay in opposite half
- If a team scores by playing off the striker they get two points
- Play 4 minute rounds
- Team that wins the most games are the winners
- Distances set out at 24 x 30 (ensure enough space for 4 v 2)
- B plays for whatever team have possession (if blue win the ball back, B switches from red to blue team)

- Athletes to perform exercisesin rows of 5 through each channel
