Penetrative Passing
Set-up: Split Groups into three 'teams' Each team has a ball.
Each team keeps possession of one ball by passing and moving around the area.
Progressions:
1. You must play a pass that 'penetrates' two opposition players.
2. Set specific challenges against different colours - e.g. green must play a penetrative pass through two blues, but play a give n go around any black if they can. If they cannot complete these tasks, they must pass and keep the ball as normal.
Challenges/Questions: Can passes be played into space for a team mate to run onto (not just passes to feet)
Scoring: How many times within 90 seconds can your team play a penetrative pass or give n go?
If you play two penetrative passes in a row, your team gets an extra point.
Coaching Points: Identify space to play pass through, weight and accuracy of pass to get it there.

5v2 Warm-up (15 mins)
5v2 Warm-up:
Set-up: 10 x 10 yard box.
i. connect 10 passes or complete two split (breaking the lines) passes the two defenders stay in the middle stay in again
ii. Game to 7 points. Offensive team gets one point if they split the two or if they connect 10 passes. Defensive team gets one point if they win it or if they dribble out they get two points.
Coaching Points: Passes are often not completed due to lazy supporting angles. If you see one of them not supporting the player with the ball then they go in the middle. There should be constant movement off the ball when playing and to play split passes.
