Arrival Activity

SET UP:

  • 4 groups of 5 players set up in passing square.
  • Ball travels in a clockwise direction. After player plays pass follow your pass with running movement.
  • Can add in dynamic stretching movements for more advanced groups.
  • KEY POINTS:
  • Player receiving to receive on the *back foot*, *guiding* their touch in the next pass direction.
  • Pre-movement before receiving, *disguise* your movement, stepping in to out on the mannequin, scanning and checking your shoulder before receiving the pass.

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:

  • Passes travel in an anti-clockwise direction.
  • Coach to add in different passing and dribbling, ball mastery combinations.
