Organisation
4-3-3 (Red) v 3-5-2 (Blue)
3 x 7 minute blocks
2 minute intervals
If blues win the ball can they score within 10 seconds, bursting out of the block.
Red GK starts with the ball in both blocks 1 + 2, in block 3 the ball starts with the FB as a throw in.
Block 1-
Structure from the front 3 players for the blues (2x 9 and 10).
Narrow and not pressing the ball, just cutting off passing lanes into the centre of the pitch forcing them wide. Ensuring that the 3 players are all within 6-8 yards of eachother to ensure the spcaes are compact.
Block 2-
Red team will be asked to play through central trying to link through the centre of the pitch. Rotations of the 9 and 10 to get the blues out of their shape.
Blue team will be asked to sit in a mid block forcing play into the wide areas and not allowing opposition to play through.
This block will be focused on the distances between the defensive unit and the midfield line to stop playing through. CB's support from behind the WING BACKS.
Block 3-
Reds will be encouraged to play wide, as they cannot play through. Wide players stay wide and fill lanes 1 and 5, 9 and 10 still alternative movements to get in behind the CB's.
Blues will still sit in a compact mid block and force play out wide. This block the focus 3ill be on ho the WING BACKS can be effective in stop playing forwards and force back. Their starting position and there distances between them and the CB's.
