Playing out of the back
Player (2) is the opposite side center midfielder ( to the ball being played out from the keeper) is now asked to press the single center defensive mid.
While doing this he must keep the player on the half the ball has been played on and try to keep him from attacking forward.
Player (3) the outside back furthest from the ball should now press the attacking midfielder to remove him as an option to be played

Out of possession
Playing out of the back
From here two ways to win the ball
1.) The Aggressive way(lacking some defensive positioning)
2.) The Defensive way ( less risky but also can allow space for the team to play out)
This slide is the Aggressive way.
We ask the wide midfielder (player 4) and the ball side outside back (player 5) to "jump press" by handing off the defensive roles of the wide midfielder to the outside back.
This lets the midfielder to join the striker in pressing the ball, but gives up the space that the outside back was defending.

This slide is the Defensive way.
Player (4) the wide midfielder will lock on to the opponets wide midfielder, while player (5) the outside back defends the space protecting the space behind form through balls and any airaial balls. The striker will force the center back forward into our team knowing the space is well protected and each player is marked making the ball players options limited and space small to play out of.

Out of possession
Playing out of the back
Player (1) the striker must engage the back line cutting out the pass between the center backs (if he can also cut the keepers path to the ball this is the optimal position to win the ball/ force the ball forward)
