5v2 to Target
Set up:
- Channel set up 5-7 yards from midfield
- Place ball on 1 corner of the box
- 4 will play a pass to GK and then spread wide
- GK will take a touch straight forward to see all options
- Defenders will start behind build out line (halfway between bottom of circle and top of D)
- Live play with points for teams scoring goals. Restarts are from the GK
- Green CANNOT enter the channel
CP's:
- Option 1: 9 (moving side to side in the channel)
- Option 2: 7 or 11 to keep it wide and out of danger
- Option 3: 4 to keep it
* Players can change direction and find the GKs feet to get out the other side
- First touch in direction you want to go
- Give your teammate a good firm pass
- Play Quickly
- Light on your feet and ready
Reps: 4 minutes rounds and then rotate subs
Scoring: White: Finding 9 in channel = Point, Green: Goals Scored
Guided Questions:
- Where are we looking to get the ball when we have it in our defensive half? Into the attacking half
- Where is it dangerous to pass the ball when we are close to our own goal? In the middle. We give the other team an easy chance to score
