5 v 3 in a 15 x 15 yd box - set up as shown
2 mini goals as shown.
1. Team on outside keep possession and try and pass to their central player as much as possible to score a point.
2. If blue win the ball they try and score in one of the mini goals.

25 x 25 yd box with a 10 x 10 yd central area (shaded).
1. Play 3 v 2 in shaded area. When gold win the ball they play to outside support players. Game then becomes a 5 v 3 in large area.
2. If blue win the ball they must get the ball back into the shaded area with two gold going in to contest the 3 v 2.
Switch roles every 3 mins.

1. Possession game with 7 blue v 7 gold and 2 neutral (N) playing for team in possession.
2. Possession team scores a point by passing to a team mate through shaded area.
3. Players cannot stay in the shaded area for more than 3 seconds.

8 v 8 possession game with central shaded area

1. Teams have to attempt a pass through central area as done in previous drills.
2. Defending team to drop 2 players into central area to attempt to block through ball.
3. If attacking team lose possession they become defenders (2 players drop into central box). NO ATTACKERS IN CENTRAL BOX
4. Minimum 3 passes before through pass
5. Double points scored if attacking team play a through pass before defenders have transitioned into central area
Progression
1. Attacking team score a point by having a player drop into central area, receive a pass and play back out to another attacker.

Team formations - 3-3-2
Use 1/2 pitch - split into 3 equal zones - Players to remain in their zones
1. As shown above, golds attacking from right to left.
2. Attacking team 4 maximum passes in D3 (zone 1 for gold team) before ball has to be progressed into M3 (zone 2 for gold team).
3. Maximum passes in M3 (zone 2) is 3 before ball has to be progressed to A3 (zone 3 for gold team).
4. Maximum passes in A3 (zone 3) is 2 before attempt a goal.
Progression
1. Midfielder can join attacking zone to make 3 v 3 or 2 midfield can join to make 4 v 3.
Notes
1. Focus on circulating the ball quickly...........forward passes
2. Look for penetrating and decisive passes
3. Movement off the ball to create space for decisive pass
4. Speed of thought, communication, anticipation

Set up as shown - area size can be tailored to suit. Smaller area to reduce decision time. Increase area size to work on fitness.
1. Start with unlimited touches. Pass to any player then move to the free cone.
2. Reduce touches down to 2 touch and work on communication, speed of thought, movement etc
3. Reduce to one touch - focus on tempo, weight of pass, communication.
4. Include a 1-2 combo before the final pass.
