Organization:

Every player has a ball
Instructions:
Players start by dribbling in the larger open area, staying out of the central blue area, on different commands, players perform different actions.
On Switch-every player switches the ball with another player
On blue zone-Players must race into the central blue zone
On out-side turn players must go to the outside and turn around one of th econes
Coaching Points:
1) Use different turning techniques
2) Change pace

Organization:
Players in groups of 3
1 ball per group
Turning zone in middle
Instructions:
Players dribble out to turning zone and perform 2 turns designated by the coach before passing to the next player and rotating positions. That player then repeats action.
Coaching Points:
Small 'messi' touches when dribble
head up
speed of execution
how 'realistic' is the turn? sell trun as a strike/pass etc.
Eye contact/connection with next player before make pass

Make it a race between groups

Organization:
(2) 20 x 30 yard fields with two pug goals set up as shown, players divided into 4 teams
Instructions:
Defenders line, yellow, pass the ball to the attackers who upon first touch must try to score on either goal.
Coaching Points:
1. Attack the defender at speed
2.Control of the ball
3.Turning technique being used
4.Turn away from the defender protecting the ball
5.Accelerate away quickly
Progressions:
R-Defender cannot leave until after the attacker takes the first touch.

Organization:
50 x 35 yard area set up as shown, with (4) 5 x 5 yard areas in each corner
13 players (6 Atackers, 6 Defenders, 1 neutral)
Instructions:
1. Teams score by dribbling into any of the four corner areas
2. Once they score in one area they switch directions and score in one of the other three
3. If a player wins the ball they can score in any of the four zones
4. If a team wins possession of the ball they can score in any area
5. If the ball leaves the area the game is restarted with a kick in
6. Play for a set time limit
Coaching Points:
1)Controlled approach
2) Appropriate turn to protect the ball or change direction
3) Bend the knees to create a platform to accelerate
4) Turn into space
5) Take away wiht the nearest foot and sirface
6) Head up after turning for the next action
Progressions:
P- Reduce the scoring areas for each team, Each team two scoreing areas
R-Reduce the number of players 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4
R- Increase the playing area or increase the size of the scoring areas

Warm-up (10 mins)
Organization:
20 x 20 yard area set up as shown
13 players (10 attackers, 3 defenders) set up as shown
1 ball per attacker (additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1. The attackers must attempt to keep the ball for as long as possible
2. The defenders must attempt to kick out all of the attacking players balls in a set limit
3. The defending team scores one point for each ball kicked out, the attacking team scores one point for each ball left in the zone when the time runs out.
4. If the attacker has their ball kicked they must dribble into one of the turning zones, perform 3 turns of their choice then re-renter the game.
5. The game is over if all the balls are kicked out or the time is reached.
6. Play for a set time limit and then rotate the players
Coaching Points:
1. Appropriate turn to protect the ball or change direction
2. Bend knees to create a platform to accelerate
3. Use the upper body to add disguise
4. Turn into spce
Progressions:
P-Increase defeners
P-Reduce playig area
P-Increae number of gates or turns performed to re-enter the game.
