Passing Drill:
Same set-up as warm-up.
Players are split into pairs, one ball between each pair.
Players begin by passing through gate using both feet. Look for quality of pass and first touch.
Body shape to recieve.
verbal and non-verbal (using arm, eyes and body shape).
Progress to players now recieve the ball and move to the next gates to pass through. Players movement dictates which gate the go to. After a time introduce competition, which pair can complete the most passes in a minute or first to10.
Focus points:
Communication, verbal and non-verbal.
Awareness, where is the space or empty gate, movement.
Passing, quality, weight and direction.
Control, first touch in direction wanting to move to.

Passing game:
2 teams (team size dependant on numbers) 1 ball. Team with the ball retains possession, players to remain in zones.
Game begins with reds in possession 2-2 formation, blus also 2-2 formation, this creates a 4v2 situation. reds retain ball through quality passing and movement.
If blues win the ball (interception not tackling) they now transition to 4v2 to keep the ball, reds become defenders.
Focus points:
Passing, selection, timing,weight, direction.
Communication, verbal and non-verbal.
Movement, both on and off the ball, where is the space to recieve?
Transitions, both to attack and defend.

Re-cap on session, ask questions, who? why? where? when?

Warm-up (15 mins)
Arrival Game:
On arrival players attempt to juggle the ball with their feet. Whatever you do with one foot you do with the other. eg. 1 left, 1 right. Ball can bounce at first for players to get used to juggling.
Warm-up:
Every player has a ball and dribbles around area on coaches commands. Use both feet equally. Can we turn after 4 touches and use our other foot? Where is the space? How many parts of our foot can we use? Introduce turning with the inside and outide of feet. (inside & outside cuts)
Progress to use the gates for different commands.
Dribble through gates.
Perform turns once through gates (inside & outside cuts).
Introduce competition, How many in a minute?
Focus Points:
Quality of touch, working both feet equally.
Awareness, where is the space and where are the other players.
