Two teams of players (7 v 7) are assigned one half of the pitch each and each player is assigned a number 1 - 7. Each player is conditioned to a maximum of 2 touches each to encourage them to speed up play and move the ball around quickly to encourage and develop decision making.

Defenders Win the Ball:
If the defenders win the ball they try to pass the ball into their half of the pitch before the team who lost possession wins the ball back. When the ball is played into their half they must try to make 5 consecutive passes for 1 point, like before if 5 consecutive passes are made then the defending team can send an extra defender to try to regain possession of the ball. The attacking team should work to keep the ball in their half if a defender gets a touch or wins the ball.
If the ball goes out of play:
When the ball goes out of play the coach calls a number between 1 and 7. Both players from each team of that number must race to the sideline and the first player to reach the ball and pass into their half has possession of the ball and the next players in the sequence attempts to win the ball back (if previously number 1 & 2 where defenders number 3 & 4 would be next and so on).

Part 1 (10 mins)
The ball is played into 1 half of the pitch (yellow) and the first 2 defenders (blue number 1 & 2) sprint from their half into the other half of the pitch and attempt to win the ball back (7 v 2).
The team in possession wins 1 point for every 5 consecutive passes completed.
If the team in possession makes 5 passes the defending team is allowed to send across an extra defender (number 3 in this case) to pressure the ball and attempt to win the ball back (7 v 3). An extra defender is sent into the zone for every 5 passes until the defending team regain possession.
