Warm up (15 mins)

After a quick lap and some stretches the players can get in a circle andhave to players in the centre, the aim of this warm up drill is to pass the ball around quickly avoiding the players in the middle. If the players in the middle get the ball whoevers fault it was him/her and the person to the left of them will go into the middle. (15 minutes).

Finishing Drill (unopposed) (30 mins)

Unopposed drill.

1. The first player (left side of the pitch) will first of all dribble the ball out to around the 18 yard box and then shoot as soon as they can.

2. The second player (centre of the pitch) will then pass the ball into player one straight away, the first player will then play the ball back through to the second player and they will have to shoot first time to test the keeper at least.

3. The third player (right side of the pitch) will then dribble the ball down the right hand flank and cross the ball as soon as they are in the position to cross it, the first and second player will then attack the ball and try to beat the keeper with a first time shot.

This is for 9-15 players as it could get boring for the players in the line otherwise.

Should be quick flowing so it's more realistic as they wouldnt get all this time in a game and adding to that the players in the line wont be waiting as long.

Preferably the keeper should be tested on every attempt.

After the players turn is taken they will move up a line e.g the first player goes to the second line, the second player goes to the third and the third player goes across to the first line. (30 minutes)

Finishing drill (opposed) (30 mins)

1.Similar to the last drill they will dribble the ball out to the 18 yard box and shoot, but this time instead of turning around to pass the ball back to the second player they will this time defend the goal. They will also defend the goal when the third player crosses the ball in.

2. The second player can decide whether they take on the first player or they shoot straight away, the choice is in their hands. They will also attack the cross when the third player crosses it in.

3.Theres no difference to the third player really apart from when they cross the ball in they are only aiming for the second player and trying to avoid the first player aka the defender.

This is for 9-15 players as it could get boring for the players in the line otherwise.

6v6 (with floater) SSG (25 mins)

A 6v6 small sided game with a floater, preferably the blues will be the attackers/midfielders who are most likely to shoot during a match and that is why they are playing against the goalkeeper. The defensive players (red team) will aim for the smaller goal at the half way line and it will help for them to work on breaking out from the back. For the red team to score they have to put the ball in the net inside the centre circle, this is so they arent needlessly hoofing the ball when they could be playing the ball into midfield, this will benefit them in a match as it will keep them in control of the ball from the back. The blue team simply have to score in the full size goal as that will be their job in a match. (25 minutes)
