Set up: Set up two wide channels and a scoring zone. Place the striker in the scoring zone with wingers in channels and two central midfielders and withdrawn striker in the central area (red players). Place two full backs (blue) in the channels versus the wingers and 2 central midfielders in the central zone versus the withdrawn striker and attacking central midfielders.
Exercise: The aim is for the attacking team (red) to get the ball into the striker in the scoring zone.
1- Ball can start from central or wide areas.
2- In central area reds play 3v2, in wide areas it is 1v1.
3- Wingers and full backs stay in wide zones.
4- Central midfielders play in central zone.
5- Withdrawn striker can play in both zones.
6- Striker can move across the length of the scoring zone to receive the ball.
7- Play stops or restarts if striker has received the ball or the blue team have stopped the red team.
Key points: Positional play. Movement off the ball. Decision making.

Set up: 3/4 length pitch with 2 goals and two teams of 8.
Blue- Goalkeeper, back 4, 2 central midfielders, 1 striker.
Red- 1 Goalkeeper, 1 defender, midfield 4, withdrawn striker and striker.
Exercise: Players play a small sided game with set positions with attacking team (red) and defensive team (blue). Main points from game is the attacking play of the reds but the blue team will be allowed to play and score also if they win possession.
Play will start with red team in possession which can be wherever coach decides.Initially with red goalkeeper. Balls will be placed on sides and behind goals to keep the flow of the game.
Play game for ten minutes then pause the game to give feedback to the attackers.
Coach can also step in if something else needs immediate feedback (coaching process).
Key points: Application of the attacking play from drill/function into the game.

Set up: Set up attackers into 2 central midfielders, right wing, left wing, withdrawn striker and striker (red). Also place 2 defenders (blue) and a goalkeeper (green). Players start point is marked by cones.
Exercise:
1- Ball is played forward from a central midfielder into the withdrawn striker who makes a move towards the ball.
2- Withdrawn striker plays ball out to the left wing for the wide player to receive.
3- Second central midfieder, right winger, withdrawn striker and striker start moving towards the penalty area.
4- The winger gets the ball out of his feet and crosses the ball into the box for attacking players to try and score.
5- Defenders can attempt to clear the ball.
6- After attempt repeat process 5 times.
After 5 times switch so the right winger is crossing the ball and the central midfielders switch role from forward run to passing.
Key points: Angle of movement. Calling. Delivery of the passes and cross.
Participants: 1 Goalkeeper, 2 defenders, 4 central midfielders, 4 wingers, 4 forwards.
