Circulating the ball

Objective:

  • Comfortability moving the ball side to side, realistic movement opening the field

Duration:

  • 8-10 minutes, 30 seconds rest ( switch sides)

Description (rules, number of players, grid size, etc.):

  • 2,3,4,5,6,8,10, 15 - 20 yard passes, 12 for the cm's

Circulate in possession

Objective:

  • Swing the ball to find open side for attacking movement
  • use CM's as facilitators 

Duration:

  • No duration, play until it looks fluid.

Description (rules, number of players, grid size, etc.):

  • 2 or 3 nuetrals, one nuetral has to stay central, for reason of being able to stretch the defense, ability to circulate ball and in case of transitions.

Key Points:

  • Make the field big on offense, find the weak side by quick ball circulation

8 v 7 to 3 goals

Objective:

  • Find one of the 3 nets, central is worth two points
  • 1st ball played from coach as a punt or shot to keeper, or GK
  • 2nd is a corner which needs a clearance then a step, or cross

Duration:

  • 20-25 minutes 7-8 minutes of play

Description (rules, number of players, grid size, etc.):

  • normal game besides 3 goals and restarts.  throw ins will be implemented a little later
  • blue have 10 seconds to score

Key Points:

  • Communication, body positioning, passing/ receiving angles, cm rotation, 2,3 get forward
