B passes into A. A is the target/striker. A will post up and hold/shield the ball until the mids can join the attack. A CANNOT turn and cross the line of the poles before turning to make a diagonal pass to either C or B. After the through ball is played A can join the attack.
Escalation: Have a coach or teammate hold up to different colored cones to give the A a direction to turn and make a through pass. Variation: Add defenders in the attacking third. First just pressure then full defense.
Coaching Points: Receive the ball with the toe up and heel down. Pass with the same foot shape, a check mark posture. Receive the ball across the body if the situation calls for it. Ball should always be in your soccer circle and under control. Scan the shoulder and decide what option is best! C or B be confident and go with your first choice, don’t second guess yourself as that will likely result in a give away anyway.

A passes to B who receives the ball and opens their hips to turn and make a move around the center cone. B then passes to C who also takes an active touch towards D. D then passes back into B who again will open the hips and find E behind them. E passes back to A and the cycle starts over.
Escalation: Change rotation, add different passing patterns. Example is A to B back to A to E to B who turns and finds D who finds C.
Coaching Points: Body Shape when receiving the ball. Open hips, bent leg, crisp pass with proper passing technique.
