Organization:
Make a 20x15/20 yard grid.
One defender, without a ball, stands inside that grid.
The rest of your team stands on the longer end line with a ball.
Instructions:
On coach’s shout, the attacking players dribble at speed, past the Defender/Coach, to the other side line.
If the defender kicks the ball out of the grid, that attacker now becomes an additional defender without a ball.
The last player to make it through the gauntlet wins the game
Coaching Points:
Keep your head up at all times.
Dribble at pace
Big touches on the ball
Dribble away from pressure.
Dribble at speed, keeping the ball close
Avoid coach by looking around and observing position
When beginning use a positive touch, use laces to push ball away with toe down
Push ball into space
Progressions:
Defender must start 5-10 yards back from the line.
Dribble with the left foot, right foot, etc.

Organization:
20x30 yard grid, with 8 players. (Adapt depending on number of players and area available)
Split players into two teams.
Cones are used to create a 5-yard wide end-zone at each end of the grid. Plus cones should also be used to create two mini goals at each end of the grid.
Instructions:
Both teams compete for the ball.
One point is awarded for successfully dribbling into the opponents’ end-zone area, 3 points for successfully dribbling through either of the opponent’s mini goal.
Coaching Points:
Attack the defenders at speed.
Accelerate to get past defenders.
Utilize moves, dodging fakes etc.
Progressions:
Award extra points for beating an opponent with a move prior to entering the end-zone or mini goal

Dribbling circle (25 mins)
Organization:
Large circle 25/30 yards in diameter as shown
10 players set up as shown
1-2 balls to start
Instructions:
2 Players on the outside of the circle start with a ball
They dribble at pace, across the circle, then pass and switch with the receiving player, whom the passer should passively pressure as they switch
The receiver's first touch takes ball away from pressure and dribbles across the circle... and so on
Play for set period.
Coaching Points:
Dribble at pace - big touches
Get in line with the ball
Select appropriate surface
First touch should be quality and away from pressure
Progressions:
Add a third ball
Make receiving player play a wall pass before switching
