Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
Technical :
Use three-quarters of the pitch with start line positioned midway point of furthest half from goal
Use three cones to mark start points and split players equally between cones
Players start in threes, with centre player passing left and overlapping left player who passes to furthest right player and follows his pass
Each player follows his pass overlapping and taking the next position until there is an opportunity to shoot upon reaching the penalty area
Pick up the ball and rejoin the queue at the other end to go again
Skill :
Create a 20m x 20m box using markers with a mannequin placed at the centre
A passes to B and makes an overlapping run behind him
B drives at mannequin before laying off into the path of A
A completes the sequence by passing to C
C restarts the sequence by passing to D
A joins queue C
B joins queue D
SSG :
Using the same 20m x 20m box replace the mannequin with two mini goals either side on the vertical plane and place two mini goals centrally on the horizontal plane.
They should be back to back with 7m between them to allow a central channel
Teams play 3v3 and when one side scores, the next team of the conceding side comes into play with the ball
Play continues until one side reaches 10 goals

Aim
"A" passes into the path of B and performs an overlapping run behind him
"B" drives directly at defender (mannequin) before laying the ball off into the path of A
"A" then passes to "C" who starts the sequence over with a pass to "D"
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Progression 1 - Reverse sequence to work on weaker foot
Progression 2 - Replace mannequin with a passive defender
Regression - Increase box size to allow more time for adjusting timing and weight of passes
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Challenge players to drive at the centre mannequin to simulate driving at the defender
Mechanics

Timing of pass
Strength of pass
Timing of run

Aim
Play 3 v 3 to score in any of the three goals the team is not defending
Attacking team should look for overlapping runs to play through balls between central goals
Defensive team must try to stop attackers from scoring in any of the three available goals
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Progression 1 - Add a player to each side to reduce space and time
Regression 1 - Increase box size to allow more space for overlaps
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Teams can score in any of the goals they are not defending
Only three players from each side can enter at a time
First team to 10 goals wins
Challenge defensive team to win the ball back within 10 seconds
Challenge attackers to score with one touch

Aim
To take the ball from one end to the other with constant overlapping runs, maintaining width all the way and finishing with a shot on goal
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Progression 1 - Introduce a time element to get a shot away (countdown from 10)
Regression 1 - Add channels to ensure wide players stay wide and don't encroach on the centre
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Wide players must maintain width. Add channels if necessary
Players must make a minimum of 5 passes before attempting to score
Challenge teams to get shot away in 10 seconds
Challenge players to get the ball into the receivers path (weight, direction)
Teams must time runs to match those of their teammates
