Making space in MF

Organisation
Split players into two teams - 4 in each team.
Place a neutral player at the end of each pitch.
Teams score by passing the ball to the neutral player. Play continues as a MDG game.
Progressions
1. Create an overload by introducing a neutral player.
2. Remove neutral players and have players score by dribbling over the end line - MDG.
3. Create goals in each corner area with cones to score in - still MDG.
4. Create 4 areas in the corner of the pitch. Teams score by passing to one of their players in that area - then that team can procedd to score in any other corner area.

Organisation
Split players into three teams of three.
Place one team in each zone and number players 1-3.
Instructions
Ball is played into a team in an end zone who are tasked with having to pass the ball 4 times before passing the ball to the other end zone, where that team the ndoes the same.
However, as soon as the ball is played into the end zone by the coach, player 1 from the team in the middle zone must try and recover the ball. Play for 90 secs then rotate players in the team, and the teams.

Organisation
Create and area 40x30 yards, split into two halves - blue half and red half.
Split players into two teams - 4 in each team. Number players 1-4.
Ball is played into blues who try to keep possession.
Once the ball is played into the blues, red 1, joins their area as a defender. After 5 passes, red 2 joins to defend and so on. Once the red team gain possession, they must move the ball to their area, and blue 1 becomes the defender etc.
Coaching Point
Concentration of team defending - players must concentrate to know when they can join in.

Create a pitch 40 x 30 yards with a half way line marked.
Split players into two teams of 5 including a GK.
Instructions
Players can only score when they are in the opposing half.
Progressions
5 passes before a goal
All players must score before a player can score a second goal.

SSG - Futsal
Split players into two teams of 5.
Create a pitch 40x30 yards as above.
Use a futsal ball.
Introduction to rules of futsal:
1. No throw ins - ball is kicked in.
2. 5 seconds to kick ball back into play.
3. Players must remain on their feet - no sliding tackles.
4. GK's must remain within their D area.
5. 12 minute games - no half time.

Organisation
Split players into two equal groups.
Create a pitch 30 x 20 yards.
Blue players to have a ball.
Red players to be used to pass to and reveiv e the ball back from.
Instructions
Blue players must pass the ball to a red player and then, immediately, change direction at speed in order for the ball to be played back to him.
After two minutes, swap over.
Progressions
1. Create competition by timing and counting the number of completed passes within 1 minute.
2. Blue players work in pairs - one attacker with the ball and the other tasked to intercept the ball following a pass back to the blue player by a red player.
Coaching Points
A change of direction must be observed - at speed.
Pass from blue and red players must be firm - good control.
