Useful for developing many 1v1 skills, whilst increasing pressure, and maintaining quality of passing and control on receiving. A by-product is the understanding of the closing down player of the idea of being 1st pressing defender and shutting off one option rather than attempting to win the ball.

Basic 1v1 blue defender rolls ball before passing to A - A attacks, must be over half way to score. D defends - if he wins ball
Coach As as follows:
*Positive 1st touch
*Attempt a move to beat D - change of pace/direction
*Use 1v1 move to beat Ds and score - bonus point for an inside outside
*Shoot as soon as you see goal, dont take more touches
Coach Ds :
* close down quick, bending approach run to screen, touching close maximum, delay as much as possible.
Progression 1
Move goals further apart - more difficult to defend.

Reds score in mini goals.
If blues win ball they must dribble thru poles to get a changeover - then they can score in the goals.

Groups of 4 or 5.
Coach demos the move first, inside outside.
*light touch with inside R foot as shoulder drops L as if taking ball to L
* (possible hop L) - body weight now on L side and R foot comes around back of ball
*push off L foot as taking heavier touch with outside R foot taking ball away to R
*if touch takes ball too far stop with sole of L foot prior to doing L move
Players then take turns to practice the move - technique before speed.
For cool down demo and practice next weeks move - drag back 5 mins
