One set of players will be beside the goal, while the other will be up in the middle of the field. The defender will start with the ball and pass the ball out to the attacker. The attacker is trying to score in the goal while the defender stops it. If the defender wins the ball, to get a point they have to dribble the ball through one of the 2 gates out wide.
Coaching Point:
- Close down the space of the attacker quicker
- Slow down as you approach the attacker
- When you get close on your toes

Players will work in partners at each station, each round can last between 1-2 minutes.

Change of Speed and Direction
There will be a diamond in the middle with 4 lines on the outside. Players will line up evenly behind the 4 outside cones.
The players across from each other will go at the same time, the next round the other 2 lines will go, alternating each time.
Progressions (start going right, then switch going left):
- Initially players will be without the ball, shift one side, push the other side.
- Add a ball, players will shift to one side, use the outside of the foot and push
- Remove the ball again, do a step over and go the other way
- Add the ball, do a stepover
Coaching Points:
- Change of speed and direction
- Shift your weight to one side (drop the shoulder)
- Once you've shifted, explode out (like a jump)
