in this session the goal is to improve defending with the back 4 against two separated strikers so in the warm up the player will learn and practice how to get and stay compact and maintain the correct distances from each other than in the second (part1) exercise they will improve their 1vs1 wich is an important part of defending , in the part 2 we will learn how to defend against header flicks into the space behind the defenders and it will show allmost the same behavior as the crosses to space behind the players ,and in the part 3 we will put all that in practice together and finally the game where hopefully we want to see their behavior of defending improving after working on all those aspects.

exercise (!) :
organization:
players 16 +2 goal keepers , cones 4 ,goal1 distance( 35*40 yards)
coaching points :
the player with the blue dribble with the ball toward the goal and tries to score ,start from yellow cones , the player with the red tries to stop him from going tru the gate then tries to recover the ball and stoping the shot

exercise 4: defending header flicks
Organization:
16 players+2 gk , 14 balls ,2goals,(50*70)yards , 4 small goals,cones
coaching points:
being compact while giving the defensive coverage
communicating who will head the ball and the rest drop position to secure the space for he second ball
instruction of the exercise
the players in the midfield will cross to the strikers and the strikers will flick the ball into space behind the other defenders to try to score
the defender will decide tru communication and who is close to the trajectory of the ball who will go for the header and the rest will drop and get compact and try to recover the ball and pass it to the players in the midfield or score in the small goals

Exercise instruction:
in this drill the player have to perform the action that are marked by the numbering that order:
1 the goal keeper plays the ball to the defender
2 the defender must play long ball to the midfielder on the same team
3 the midfielder plays the ball to the strikers
4 they pass to each other or Finnish
5 they try to Finnish
6 the goal keeper passes the ball to the midfielder on the same team
7 the midfielder passes to the strikers in the back of the defense high ball or blank spiele or passes to the strikers
8 the strikers finnish if the defenders recover the ball they will try to pass to the player on the side line and he will pass or drive the ball tru the gate simulating a counter attack
and restart again from the goal keeper and the starting position for the defenders is always the yellow cone line
if the defenders recover the ball at any stage they should score in the small goals pass to the outside player that can pass or dribble tru the gate simulating a counter attack
