Football/Soccer Session (Difficult): Creating Goal-Scoring Chances Through the Halfspaces

Buzzy Barcelona (25 mins)

Rules: 

• 3v3 in the middle with the other players on the outside alternating as shown 
• Players on the outside are limited to two touches and enter the grid by playing a pass to a teammate in the middle 
• Teams earn a point for getting all the players on the outside to the inside and an additional point for every 10 passes once everyone is in 
• Once possession is turned over, players that started on the outside must return to the outside of the grid 

Variations: 

• Players on the outside are limited to one touch 
• Players on the outside are only allowed to enter the grid if they connect a pass to a third player 

• Left & Right Support of the player on the ball 
• Arrivals 
• Find pockets 
• Find the free player 

6v7+1 Box Entries to Funnel (30 mins)

Set-Up/Rules:

• 50x45 yard grid funneling at the end towards goal as shown 
• The attacking team is set up in 2-3-1 with a neutral bumper behind that they can use to circulate
• The defending team is set up in a 4-2-1 with a neutral bumper on the end to play off as simulating a forward 
• The attacking team is scoring on the large goal while the defending team is trying to win possession and score on the counter goals 

Intervals:

• 3 x 5:00 (1:30 rest)
