Warm Up - Individual Ball Mastery (10 mins)

Players dribble around, practicing various skills and tricks


Progression

  • Players have a bib and dribble around practicing skills whilst throwing catching the bib
  • Players have to dribble and swap bibs
  • Players dribble and play "tails" where players have bibs and have to pinch other players "Tails" - can they use their skills to get away from other players.

1v1 (30 mins)

  • Equipment 4 Mini-goals
  • 1 ball between 2
  • Disc 
  • Play starts with player passing the ball into player opposite, receiving player goes for any goal, defender tries to stop, if defender wins ball then can go for opposite goal. 
  • Players go back to their starting positions
  • Change sides after 5 minutes

Coaching points
  • can attacking player use skills to beat their player, feint / drop shoulder / skills / turns
Progression
  • Players must first dribble past a disc point and then turn and attack the other goal. 
  • Defender to attack any goal if they win the ball back
Coaching Points 
  • Defenders to close distance with pace but slow down before they get to their player
  • Defenders "side on"
