Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Overlapping passing pattern

Coaching Points:

• Player A starts the move by stepping in with the ball before passing to player B.
• Off of Player A's first touch player B makes a move toward the ball to receive.
• Player D then begins her overlapping run around and into the space left by player B.
• Player A passes inside to Player B and as soon as the ball goes past her, player C steps into the passing lane and runs onto the set from player B.  
• Player C then plays a first time pass into the path of player D who should be finishing her overlapping run and she will dribble with the ball to the line on the opposite side.
