NZ Masters O55's Men's trial exercises.
These are the initial exercises we will run through on Friday.
We are looking for quality and efficiency both in attack and defence.
In Attack: How can you threaten forward, and how can you create, and utilise a 2v1
In Defence: How can you delay and dictate the attackers?
On ball, we want you to be efficient and play with purpose.
Off ball, we want you to be clever and dictating (control the attackers)

CB to DM to Right Attacking Mid to Striker on baseline to Centre Attacking Mid / Striker top of circle.
Follow your pass.
Focus points:
- 2 Touch
- Efficiency...ball speed, effective first touch and accuracy.

Station C:
Balls start on top of dashed circle.
Pass to another attacker and then 3 vs 2 on goal.
Defenders wanting to defend outside circle where possible (deny easy entry).
Attackers decision making and utilising extra player.
Every 2 PC's conceded is punishment (players can decide)
Every 2 failed attempts (no outcome in circle..either no shot, or no PC) is a punishment for attackers.
Key points:
- Efficiency on ball
- Decision making both on and off ball
- Brave attacking and defending
- Controlled aggression
