For tonights session we will focusing on game management to help further our focus over the last few weeks which has been all about becoming comfortable and patient on the ball. The aim is for our players to understand when to be patient on the ball, and how our patience can create more chances going forward. The two key terms we have discussed of late are: Reactive players (Make decisions in a panic) - Proactive players (Think about their decision in advance).
Tonight the two teams will arrive in two pre-set teams; White = Liverpool, Green = Barcelona.
In 2019 the two teams met in a two-legged match in the Champions League (biggest club tournament in Europe). Barcelona won the first leg 3-0, leaving Liverpool with the unthinkable challenge of needing to win by at least 4 goals to win the overall match. As you will see in the video attached, they did just that. At our session we will be replaying the scenario of the second leg. The group which is Liverpool will try to do exactly what they did by winning the game by at least four, with the other team being Barcelona and looking to show them how you defend your lead successfully. Captains, will lead their team through a 10 minute warm up before we start the game.

Two teams split into their set formation. Liverpool with the attacking intent with 2 defenders, 2 midfielders, and 3 attackers. Then Barcelona who are defending their lead, 4 defenders, 2 midfielders, 1 attacker.
As the game goes on, it will be up to the team if they want to change their formation to be more defensive, or more attacking; based upon the realtime scoreline in the session.
