Functional Practise - Passing to feet & Angles
Description: Players are lined out equally behind the red cones w/ 3 cones ahead of them. The exercise starts by a player dibbling to the pole in the middle and then passing to the next player. The exercise has a few progressions mainly focused on recieving aspects
Coaching Points:
1) Quality of passing - Weight, Timing. Distance, Accuracy
2) Habits - Non verbal and verbal communication, checking shoulders, etc.
3) Recieving - Open body shape to see the whole grid, touch towards next target, back foot to open

Functional SSG - 4v2 Width
Description: Players come onto the pitch by running around the gal they're defending, the game is 2v2 in the middle with 2 wide players either side to have more passing options and therefore, more passing in the game, to score it must be a first time finish into the opposition goal
Progression 1 - Must make a pass in either half
Progression 2 - 1 still in play and must play it to both wide men
Coaching points:
1) Shape - An mportant aspect of recieving is effective recievng in good areas via shape, coach it
2) Quality of passing - W , T , D, A
3) Recieving - Angles and distances discussed previously, can we be open and go forward
4) Decision making - Can I go back to go forward, combine etc.
5) Tempo - Aggressive challenges and fast play

SSG - 8v4
Description: Players are lined up 4v4 in the middle with 2 neutral players on the end line and 2 either wing to encourage more passing options, these neutral players are limited to 2 touches each. To score, the team shooting into the small goals can only score by passing it outside the red line and the team shooting into the man goal must score beyong the blue line. Players on outside switch with a team in the middle every 2 minutes.

3) Recieving - Angles and distances discussed previously, can we be open and go forward
