Specific Session (5 mins)

Topic: Specific Practice-Breaking Lines from Back to Midfield

Framing: The attacking team will set up in a 1-4-3-3 and the forwards will removed. The defending team will set up in a 4-4-2 with the back line removed. The field will be set up in 3 zones with the offensive team's full backs pushed up high to draw out the defending team's forwards.

Challenges, Conditions or Targets:

The attacking team's back line is going to build out of the back with a the center backs looking to dribble and make a line breaking pass into the defensive midfielder, then one of the attacking midfielders will look to create separation to receive the ball as the defensive midfielder runs beyond the zone and looks to finish from a lay up, into the small goals.

The defending team will initiate the press, when the attacking team's center backs are about to reach the penalty spot to facilitate turn overs and errors from the attacking team. When the defending team win the back they can immediately go to goal.

What If:
1. The attacking team's defensive midfielder gets marked by one of the defending team's forwards, then one of the offensive team's midfielders should make an check into the as the extra option.

2. The defending team's forwards are successful in pressing the attacking team's center backs as they are dribbling up, then the center backs should look to play around with a swinging pass to each other then connect with the attacking team's full backs.
