Set up & organization
Use an appropriate sized field for younger players. Have two mini goals set up at each end of playing area. Have starting cones placed on each side of pitch. Two pairs of players at each set of cones.
Instructions
Players A & B start by passing back and forth, when coach calls GO all four A’s run onto the field to play a 2v2. B’s move up to the starting cones and gets ready to play. As soon as goal is scored or ball goes out of play, coach calls GO again and B’s play. The players start over but switch around.

Set up & organization
Use a 20x25yrd pitch with a clearly marked half way line. Two goals with GK’s
Instructions
Players are split up into a 2v2 on one half and a 1v1 in the other and can only stay in their respective half’s. One team defends with 2 players the other attacks with 2 players and there is one neutral player who always plays on attack and can float in either half. Play starts with the GK. The blue team must try use the extra man to build play into their forward and create an overload; if the yellow team win the ball they can do the same. Switch sides often so players can play with different scenarios and problems.
Coaching points
Players must look to use the extra man whenever possible
This is a fast tempo game and players must look to move the ball quickly in transition
Width and depth and create passing angles and triangles
Positive attacking mentality. Shoot whenever possible.

Set up & organization
Use a 20x25yrd pitch with a clearly marked diamond shape, two small goals, and two starting cones for each team.
Instructions
Players are split up into two groups at their staring cones. On coaches GO the players sprint into first cone and then to the next two. When they hit the top cone the next pair goes and the two that just went must jog back down the sides. Do this without a ball at first. Then each player does the sequence with a ball at their feet.
Progressions
Get creative and add ball manipulation. Left foot only, sole of foot only, inside of foot, and so on..
Add a skill to each cone, shoulder drops, scissor’s, step overs and so on..
