Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): Mini Kick - Freeze Tag

Activity (10 mins)

Organization:

1. 15x15 grid set up as shown

2. Select two players to be taggers

Instructions:

1. Non taggers begin running around the grid

2. Coach says "GO" the taggers can begin trying to tag the players

3. If a player gets tagged, they are frozen and they must stand with the ball above their head and their legs open.

4. To unfreeze a teammate, a player must kick their ball through the legs of their frozen teammate.

5. Play continues until all players are frozen or the allotted time has expired.

6. Coach then selects two new taggers and play again.

7. Game continues until all players have had a chance to be each role.

1. Head Up

2. Big touches vs small touches

3. Small touches as approach teammate
