Organization: The exact same as the first activity but now with mini goals at the end of the last channel
Instructions: With a ball, try to beat your man, if you get through to the second channel try to beat your man and score on one of the two mini goals.
Coaching Points: Work hard and be smart getting past your defender and remember there are TWO mini goals you do not have to score on the goal you are running towards.
Progressions: Maybe if there is a big goal at practice we can move the space to be bigger and have them beat the second man and go onto scoring on the big goal.

Organization: 2v2 in the same grid as the first and second activities
Instructions: 2v2 to mini goals
Coaching Points: -Keep your head up like in the other excersices
-Be strong on the ball
-Be confident on the ball
Progressions: -If there is not enough of 1v1 going on you can make it so that you are only allowed to pass backwards to encourage driving forward at defenders.

Organization: 5v5 to big goals
Instructions: You can only pass backwards or sideways (encourage running and driving towards defenders in 1v1 situations.
-Game like rules (throw-ins, corner kicks)
Coaching Points: -Keep your head up while dribbling
-Be confident when making decisions (It is practice, time for mistakes are here)

Shoot the gap (15 mins)
Organization: Three zones are created, two red zones that have defenders in them and a yellow "safe zone" in between the two reds.
Instructions: In a line, players hold a penny holding out the back of their shorts try to get past the first defender into the safe zone and then past the next defender. Once the first person that goes reaches the safe zone the next person can go.
Coaching Points: -Keep moving
-Shorten strides as you get towards the defender
-Lengthen as you excellarate away from defender
-What moves work?
-What moves don't?
Progressions:
-Begin without the ball
-Move to adding the ball after a couple rotations.
