Variable (10 mins)

Variable - 10 Minutes

Maintaing the same teams as the first part of the session, player now stand around the outside of the coned area.

- The players on the inside work for 2 minutes and must pass through the shaded/marked area before they can go looking for another header.

- Players are not allowed to go to the same outside player twice in a row.

- Outside player can move around the outside of the area.

After the 2 minutes are up the team on the inside they switch with the players on the outside to rest and allow the outside player to have a go at heading.

- It is important the players use the different techniques that were covered in the first part of the session.

- Also, player must use communication between one and other to ensure that there are no balls out of control.

Progression;

- players must know keep score of the successful headers (A successful header is a header that does not touch the floor after the ball has been thrown, so the throw needs to be good and the header needs to be perfectly weighted for the outside player to catch. It is also only successful if the inside player runs through the marked/ shadded area). if the player does not pass through the shadded area then it is an unsuccessful header.

- Player must try to beat the previous score and also beat the score of their opposition.

Game - 10 minutes.

Regular 4v4 game, can score in the same way as a normal game, by simply shooting/passing the ball into the goal. Scoring this way only scores 1 point.

Conditions;

- Players can score as normal if they wish but it only score 1 point.

- If a player from the team makes into an end-zone then they are able to pick up the ball and throw it in for a different player on their team to attempt to score with and header.

- Players only 10 seconds in the 'End-Zone' to control, pick-up and play the ball in or the possession changes teams.

- If the play is successful and a player scores with a header then their team have scored 2 points.

Progressions;

- Allow only a few seconds (e.g 5 secs) in the end zone, this is to speed up the player if it is at a low intensity.
