Organization:

• 4 Reds v 4 Blues+ GK +2 Targets/Servers
• Reds attack the Goal andBlues score by playingball into Target/Server inTarget Zone
• Target/Server can act asoutlet player for Reds ifnecessary
Progression
• A Red LFB is added to support the LWNG in attack
Description:
a. Play starts with Server switching the ball to his partner who then plays a pass into Red Team.
b. Reds must combine to score on the goal.
c. Blues must try to win the ball back and score by playing the ball into the Target/Server the target zone.
d. Once a goal is scored the game should be restarted again with the Servers as before.
e. Ensure that the players understand that they are to operate as they would in the full field and that the area is markedout to restrict play rather than to set up a SSG.
f. When the Blues score have the ball switched to the 2nd Target/Server, who must then play the ball into the Red Teamto commence an attack. If the play becomes erratic control the tempo by giving time for both teams to recover.
g. A Red LFB is added to look for overlap or combinations
Coaching Points:
• LWNG get wide and inline with last opponent
• No pressure on Ball; lookfor pass in behinddefenders.
• Good pressure on theball; drop back down theline to receive to feet
• Get “squared up” to thedefender if possible.
• If space behind FB thentake him on, or look forcombinations with LAM orST to play around him.
• Ifthe Blue FB doesn’t try to gettoo close is it possible tocross early?
• LFB support behindthe ball if LWNG hasspace to take on Blue FB.
• LFB if LWNG goesinside try to takeadvantage of the space toreceive a ball wide and orbehind defensive line.
• Look for combinationsbetween LWNG, STand LFB.

• Should the LWNG be able to provide a cross into the box, LAM should be arriving for finishing or shooting from outside the box
