Phase: Recovery
Problem: We lost the ball in our attacking third
Who: 9, 8,10
Where: In our attacking third
When: As soon as we lose the ball
What: 1. Get behind the ball 2. Position body between the goal, the ball and his man. 3. The one who pressures closes the ball carrier to one side of the field. Approach fast, arrive slow at an angle 4. The one who covers close the space to prevent a penetrating pass. Anticpate with your eyes and move quickly to close passsing channel. The one who balances plays centerfield. Be alert and ready to move to pressure or cover when the ball moves.
Why: to prevent our opponents from advance out of their half of the field.
Layout: 9 x 9 grid. 2 mini goals.
Restrictions: First Progression: 1v1 with 1:1 with 9 cycles. Second progression: 1v2 with 1:1 with 6 cycles; Third progression: 2v3 with 1:1 with 3 cycles.
Scoring: Defender: one point for take away and one for goal. Attacker: one point for goal. a

Restrictions: 7 x 3; Two touch; 3 six minute games.
Scoring: 1. Two points for recovering the ball any where in the grid. 2. one point for a recovered goal. 3. One point for the attackers passing from the grid to the targeted mini goal.
Game: Starts when the defending team play sthe ball to the 1, 4, 5, or 6. The attacking team advances the ball up the field by creating and using space. They must pass to the ball to the mini goal from the grid. The defending team tries to recover the ball in the grid then form a quick counter to goal.
