Put the Penguin Eggs back (10 mins)
Organization:
- 10 x 20 yard area.
- 4 2x2 squares in each corner.
Story
All the penguins eggs were stolen by the crazy zoo guide (coach and put in the middle of the zoo) the penguins (players) have to go get their eggs back and put them safetly in their penguin caves, each penguin wobbles out to the middle and brings a penguion egg back. at the end we count all the penguin eggs.
Coaching Points:
-Long touches, longer distance dribbling (Like a Cheetah)
-Inside of the feet (Like a PenguinO
-Make sure you go back to the right penguin cave
Progressions:
- Allow dribbling with single foot adding a move(feint, roll, etc.).
- How many can your team retrieve?
- Allow dribbling with either foot (Regression).

The Parrot Lost its Feathers
Organization:
- 10 x 20 yard area.

Story
The Giant Californian Parrot has lost al of his feathers (pinnies) the mini bird experts players (must help him to get his feathers back) As the Giant bird runs around each time the players have to see how many of each color feather(pinnie) they can find. However, the mini bird experts have to make sure they take their bird spotter (soccer ball) with them

-Long touches, longer distance dribbling (Like a Cheetah)
-Inside of the feet (Like a Penguin)
-Make sure you go back to the right penguin cave

- 2 goals
Instructions:
- Free Game.
Coaching Points:
- Dribble the ball to get as close to the goal as you can
- Head up
- Be creative
- Strike middle of ball
- Use your laces

Story
The zoo guide (coach) takes a tour around the Sacramento Zoo, but the animals are being crazy!!! Each player gets to choose their favorite animal and everyone acts out how that animal moves.....Some ideas Penguins (dribble with inside of feet, box touches) Cheetahs (Dribble really fast) Frogs Hop and Hop (and say ribbitt)
Coaching Points:
- Body control and coordination.
- Hand & eye coordination.
- Dexterity.
- Spatial Awareness.
-Boundaries (we have to stay in the zoo, what would happen if the animals escpaed?)
Progressions:
- Who can be the best animal? What is the strangest animal you have seen? how would a dinosaur move? How would a bug move?
