Striking a cross (20 mins)
Player 1 passes to Player 2 (Then runs to Player 2 position).
Player 2 Recieves ball, Takes one cushioned touch to set up for a power shot. (Shot to be taken from the laces position of the foot).
Player 2 continues forward and recieves lay off pass from Player3 with an accurate cushioned inside of the foot shot.
player 3 joins player Player 1 at top cone.
Coaching Points:
Good Firm Pass
First touch, limp foot, aim for ball to roll no more than 2 yards
Body position
Lay off pass correct weight and accurate
Shot 1- Through the laces, locked ankle, Planting foot pointing at target and placed inline with the ball, rotate hips after impact, controlled follow through, Chest and head over the ball.
Shot 2- open body to side foot into corner, head down, arms out for balance, composure.
ALWAYS LOOK BEFORE SHOOTING, MAKE THE DECISION AND STICK TO IT.

3) coach lays the ball off
4) player takes a touch for control, strikes for goal!
5) repeat with next player
