Number of players/opponents: 3v3 in each grid
Size/Shape of Field: 15x15 each grid

Over the River
Learning Activity: Modified Game Form
Activity Objective: Introduce reactive measures in transition to defending moments to apply immediate pressure on the ball
Number of players/opponents: 8v4
Size/Shape of Field: 15x30 (12x15 - 6x15 - 12x15)
Methods of Scoring: Defensive team scores on mini goals *(individual teams keep track of points cumulative-can manipulate scoring system as needed) If you only have 2 mini goals, then allow defensive team to score by getting ball to coach
Attacking team scores by playing "over the river" to the other side/team
Progressions:
-attacking team can only score by playing the ball across on the ground
-team of 4 in possession can occupy their third as well as the central third
-attacking team can only score from the middle grid
Total Activity Duration: 20 minutes
Active Duration: Rest Duration 90-120s on/30s off (switch defensive team so everybody goes once) = 1 set
*use body language of defensive team to assess intensity and fatigue and adjust accordingly*
Number of Sets: 3
Activity Rules (KIS KIS):
-Attacking team has to complete 1-2 passes before they can play "over the river", no more than 2.
-Defensive team can only send two players to "press"
Progressions:
-Attacking team has to dribble "through the river" to get the ball across
-Attacking team in possession can occupy space in their third and in the middle third
-Can lift restrictions on defensive players in zones
Restarts: From coach or closest ball. Ball always start with team in possession
Keep "loose lines" - if it's close, keep playing to keep the ball roll time high
Additional Restraints/Constraints/Restrictions/Rewards:
Formation & Player Roles: conceptual
Rotations (substitutions): no substitutions, rotate defensive team each rep of 90-120s
