Organisation:
Select two players to be the "Mud Monsters" (tippers) and everyone else gets a ball to become a dribbler.
How to Play:
Ask players if they've played Stuck in the Mud at school, those that have can demonstrate how to play without the ball.
Coach then introduces the ball and the new rules. Players in Red are the dribblers, with players in Blue being the tippers or 'Mud Monsters'.
The Mud Monsters receive points for tipping the dribblers by winning possession of their ball. When Dribblers lose their ball they are 'Stuck in the Mud' and must pick up their ball and hold it on top of their heads with their legs spread. Other Dribblers can receive points by saving their teammates that are stuck, by passing the ball through their legs.
Coaching Tips:
Help tippers understand how to safely steal the ball from the dribblers.
Get your body between the defender and the ball.
Use 1v1 skills (change of pace and direction) to dribble away from the monsters and find space.
CHANGEIT / Progressions:
Add more monsters to make it harder or less monsters to make it easier.
Think about point systems you can implement to make it more competitive. E.g. a challenge for the monsters to see how many points they can get.

Organisation:
Set up 'gates' and spread them out across the playing area.
Different coloured gates can create more variety and visual cues for younger children.
Players are to pair up and stand on either side of the space between the gates with 1 ball between the two of them.
How to Play:
Must play with TWO touches.
Start easy, with players making as many passes as they can within the same gate.
Introduce moving to another gate after 5 passes. When moving to another gate, the player without the ball should dictate where the pair will go next so that the dribbler has to follow the player making the run and then make the pass through the gate.
You can also introduce the wall pass or one-two pass and depict the cones as defenders, that they need to pass through and around.
“Now we're going to play a pass between two defenders (Killer Pass) and then return a pass around the defenders. You'll see this will help us start moving into space for the next gate.”
Coaching Tips:
Challenge the kids with races either against each other or against time. E.g. Now let's see which team can make the most passes in 60 seconds! or Let's see which team can make 5 passes through every single gate the quickest, first team to go through every gate and return back to their original gate, wins!
Children should be using different parts of their feet to control the ball.
Make sure the kids are using the inside of their foot to pass the ball accurately.
CHANGEIT / Progressions:
Make gates or bigger or smaller based on ability levels.
For a harder challenge, "Control with your left foot and pass with your right foot". And vice-versa.
Introduce any other passing concepts you think of and change partners. You can even do relay races like this.

Organisation:
Use cones to create 4 squares spread out throughout the pitch. These are the scoring zones.
How to Play:
Pick 2 volunteers to start as tippers with a bib. Everyone else gets a ball.
On the Coach's call, the players with the balls dribble throughout the space, trying to make it to one of the 4 scoring areas.
Tippers are not allowed to enter the scoring areas and only 1 dribbler can stand there at a time for a maximum of 10 seconds.
Players with the ball cannot dribble into the same scoring zone twice in a row.
Defenders keep count of how many tips dribblers they can tackle. Rotate defenders every 2 minutes.
Coaching Tips:
Remind players to use the entire space.
Players should ask themselves, "How can I bring the defender to me so I can evade them and dribble away?"
CHANGEIT / Progressions:
Make it easier by allowing multiple players to score by occupying the same square at the same time.
Make it harder by allowing the defenders to enter squares.

Organisation:
Have 2 pop-goals on each goal line and cone out "scoring zones".
Split group into two teams and partner off.
How to Play:
Player with ball must beat partner in 1v1 duel and score in one of the opposing goals once they enter the scoring zone.
Rotate role of attacker and defender after each attempt.
Rotate opponents every 2 minutes.
Coaching Tips:
Encourage players to engage in 1v1 duels
Praise attempts to beat a defender
Encourage players to work hard to win the ball back when they lose it
CHANGEIT / Progressions:
Make the area smaller or bigger as required
Change the scoring method for better players. E.g. they have to dribble into the goal
